Laos girls teen project are changing Lao PDR girls and women’s lives through sustainable education regarding menstrual health. Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) provides free medical care and health education to children in Luang Prabang, Laos.Through the model of Treatment + Education + Prevention, the hospital treats over 20,000 children annually, educates hundreds of local medical professionals, and prevents thousands of diseases through its Outreach Program. LFHC’s guiding motto is “treat every patient as if your own child.”

 

 

Friends without a Border was founded by renowned Japanese photographer Kenro Izu in 1996 with the first South East Asian Hospital being built in Cambodia. They believe every child has the right to a healthy and loving life. They accomplish this by providing free, international-quality compassionate medical care to the children of Southeast Asia; by creating community health education programs; and by training local health care professionals.

 

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located approximately 45km from the city of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Founded in Mar 2015. They provide a retirement home to Asian elephants who have previously been used for logging, tourism and other inhumane activities. Their mission is to provide as many elephants as possible with the good health, freedom, and happiness they truly deserve.

The Elephant Conservation Center, located in Sayaboury in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, acts to preserve and protect the Asian elephant, a species that is on its way to extinction. Created in 2011 by a team of experts, its program is set up around the well being of the animal, the reproduction, vet care, and the schooling of mahouts. They now have one of the largest herds of Laos elephants in Laos after successfully rescuing 13 elephants from illegal trafficking. Show your support for them via their call for funding page
